Mr. & Mrs. Rous actually came to us this morning to have some repair work done to their sweet 2002 Vespa ET4. They ended up liking the looks of the new LX’s so much they decided to take one of those back home with them too! We love it when a garage has more than one Vespa staying in it, haha.

Just wanted to invite everyone to a BIG OL COOK OUT at Vespa Lexington this Saturday (August 15th) from 12 until 2 for FREE hotdogs, hamburgers, and drinks. We want this to be our biggest cook out of the year, so come on out, bring your family, and bring your scooters.

In addition to the cook out, our buddy Dan Sherman will be here filming for his Review Lexington Project. ITINERARY: Upon leaving Vespa Lexington cookout we will travel through Keenland to Old Frankfort Pike. While riding to Midway, Kentucky we will have the opportunity to view many majestic horse farms. Continuing from Midway the group will travel on route 421 to Switzer bridge. Along the way there will be opportunities to stop for shopping, food, restroom breaks and photo opportunities.

This is not the first time I have posted about vintage Vespa advertisements, and this will probably not be the last time. I love discovering new yet older Vespa ads. Many of them seem just as relevant today as they did 50 years ago in terms of the message; have some fun, save some gas, maybe your second car shouldn’t be a car, no hassles. Beyond the message Vespa is such an amazing brand offering a rich history, unmatched quality, superior styling, and best off all it’s a bonafide Italian icon.
