This past Sunday we had a little Vespa Lexington holiday photo shoot for some upcoming ads and promotions for the holidays and our One Year Anniversary which is coming up in December. The shoot was a ton of fun, I could not stop cracking up! once Michael got into the elf costume it was like he was 12 years old again. In fact Michael has been wearing the elf costume every day since the shoot, he refuses to return it to the costume shop.

If you’re like us and you’re a fan of the Piaggio MP3 500 and you’re a fan of fire+explosions then your going to love the video we posted below. Last week one of our readers sent us this video created by his buddies production company Bars + Tone out of San Francisco. His buddy Brian who works at Bars + Tone is a big-time Piaggio Fan. Apparently Brian’s MP3 500 which is featured in the video was the #112 MP3 500 in the United States. I would love to make some videos like this for Vespa Lexington, maybe destroying a fleet of zombies while riding a MP3 with a gatling gun mounted on the side. Vespa has been making the news quite a lot this past week. First there was the now famous Vespa rocking horse, then the article about scootering in the New York Times, and now thanks to Motorcycle.com I just ran across these killer Vespa chairs. The design studio Bel & Bel in Spain created these handmade leather chairs out of spare parts of vintage Vespa scooters. I would love to see a couple of these chairs sitting around at Vespa Lexington but I don’t even want to know how much they cost. Chair envy!
I just ran across a great article in the New York Times about how scootering in America is spreading, I know for a fact it’s growing like crazy here in Lexington Kentucky! There are a lot of great mentions about Vespa and Piaggio. Some of my favorite excerpts from the article are:

I have become kind of addicted to seeking out old Vespa related products on eBay, not so much actual scooters but old Vespa advertisements, signs, club memorabilia and other collectibles. Last night I ran across this really cool vintage Vespa Mini-Scooter up for auction on eBay, that is actually made of tin. Unlike some of the current ridable Vespa toys, this is a dead ringer for an actual Vespa. There is a “Buy It Now” for $250 and the bidding starts at only $100! All you Vespa enthusiast and collectors, this is a must see. It’s no Vespa Rocking Horse, but it’s pretty cool. I think it would also make a great addition to the shop, who wants to go head to head on this bad boy? Now if I could only find some vintage Vespa or Piaggio coveralls.

It’s been like Christmas at the shop with packages of goodies arriving daily. Today we got in a big box full of wonderful Corazzo riding jackets, gloves, under-hoodies, and coffee jackets. In addition to the Corazzo goodies, we also got in a box full of some brand spanking new Vespa Lexington stickers. With cooler temperatures arriving we have been selling a lot of Corazzo gear. We finally got in some larger sizes in the super popular Under-hoodies, some larger sizes in the 5.0 Jacket, and we finally re-stocked more coffee-jackets!
