A Year In Vespa Oddities

We have been blogging on the Vespa Lexington site for just over a year now. It’s been a major commitment to keep this blog updated on a regular basis, and as time has passed it’s grown to be a lot of fun and kind of addictive. We’ve tried to cover pretty much any and all things Vespa related including; our shop, our customers, rides, events, scooter related news, incentives, sales, and pretty much anything thats Vespa buzz or blog worthy. Because of Vespas quality, rich history, and iconic design the Vespa brand alone generates quite a bit of press and buzz. I think Vespa USA has also done a great job this year in generating buzz for it’s iconic brand through new product offerings, collaborations with other brands, and it’s unique approach to making scootering appealing to the fine folks living in the USA.

Looking back on all the Vespa related news breaking this past year, it’s been the Vespa oddities that have generated the most buzz in the blogosphere. Most of these Vespa oddities were not even marketing efforts from Vespa, they were created by a few very creative individuals that see the iconic Vespa scooter as more than just a scooter. We’ve covered a few of these oddities on the Vespa Lexington site, but with 2009 coming to a close I wanted to post recap of a few of these awesome Vespa oddities that created tons of buzz in 2009.
