September has been amazing so far, tons of great weather and scooter sales have been fantastic! On September 30 pilots from Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will be riding a fleet of Vespa S 125’s (not available in the USA) across the UK. This ride includes 14 pilots on 14 Vespas, covering 1000 miles in 4 days. How awesome is that? We are now days away from the much anticipated Circle 4 production of the “Crazy Mary’s Whiskey Run” (Rally) taking place October 1-2, 2010. The rally has really been picking up some major steam as of late, I think they have just over 60 scooterist signed up for the early registration (which ends on September 15), though you can register the day of.
There is a large number of folks from out of town who have pre-registered. With the World Equestrian Games taking place in Lexington this same weekend, affordable lodging has been tough to find. There are rooms available but the hotels want your left leg for the night. The Circle 4 scooter club has hooked up some in town camping available at a really awesome spot close to some great bars and restaurants.
If you are coming in from out of town, you are in for a huge treat. There are a ton of fun events planned and fall in the Bluegrass is amazing, the ride through Bourbon Country on Saturday will blow you’re mind. Check out the Circle 4 website and look forward to seeing you October 1-2.
